# Complaints

**This is a demo page.** In a live trust this would open the published complaints policy and the form that starts a complaint.

If you are a student or a parent with a concern about a teacher, a lesson, or a school decision, this is the right channel. HR is for staff employment issues only.

## What to do

Please refer to the XP Trust complaints policy on [xptrust.org](https://www.xptrust.org).

A complaint is a formal request that the trust look again at a decision or a service you have received. It has stages, timescales, and a named person who will write back to you. Voice pitches do not do that.

Typical first steps:

1. Read the complaints policy so you know which stage you are at.
2. Raise the issue with the school, in writing, if you have not already.
3. If it remains unresolved, follow the trust stage in the policy.

## Why Voice blocked this

Voice is for ideas the community can amplify and leaders can act on. It is **not** the complaints procedure.

If you wanted a change that many people would benefit from — a different lunch routine, a clearer sign-up — go back and pitch that as **Now / Try this / If it works**, without naming an individual grievance.

If you needed a personal outcome, a written response, or a review of a specific decision, the complaints policy is the right channel.
